Pay & Growth

This is a W-2 employee position with taxes withheld and workers' compensation coverage.
Schedule & Visit Times
You’ll be providing in-home cat sitting and small-animal care (and very occasional small dog care, as appropriate), including feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, medication when needed, light home care, enrichment, and plenty of love.
Visits are scheduled within these time blocks:

Morning breakfast visits: 8–11 AM

Anytime visits for 1x/day kitties: 8 AM – 6 PM

Evening dinner visits: 4–8 PM
We offer flexible scheduling, but we ask for:

Availability of at least 7–10 hours per week on average
-
Holiday availability, including either Thanksgiving week or Christmas week (or both, if you’re open to it)
Current Priority Availability:
While we hire based on overall fit and availability, our current highest needs are for:

Morning availability (8–11 AM) on multiple weekdays
-
Availability for visits in Southwest Ocala
What You'll Do Day-to-Day
-
Visit cats and small pets in their homes for feeding, litter box scooping, pet area cleaning, enrichment, and meds (if trained and authorized)

Use our app to take clear, cute photos of the pets at each visit
-
Write friendly, detailed, and creative visit report cards so clients feel connected and reassured while they’re away

Follow our checklists to keep homes secure: doors locked, alarms set, pet areas tidy, and routines followed

Communicate with our team via app and messaging so we can support one another and our clients
What We're Looking For
We’re a close-knit team that takes our work seriously while keeping things warm and human. Our ideal teammate:

Lives in Ocala, FL, within our service area (34476, 34474, 34481, 34473, 34482, 34471)

Has reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
-
Is physically able to perform the job: lifting 40 lb litter bags, frequent bending/kneeling, and walking to and from homes in all weather
-
Is extremely dependable — pets on your schedule are counting on you, and we never miss a visit

Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and our team (this job is about people as much as pets)

Is comfortable using apps for scheduling, messaging, and visit reports

Enjoys taking pet photos and has the patience to capture sweet, in-focus shots
-
Has strong writing skills and can write warm, personable, and detailed client report cards after each visit

Is willing to complete our full hiring and training process, which includes:

Multi-step interviews
-
Local and national background checks
-
Online onboarding
-
Cat care and safety training
-
Shadow training with a Team Trainer before working solo

Because of the time and care we invest in training, we’re looking for team members who plan to stay with us for at least 6 months after completing training
Employment with Ocala Pet Sitting, LLC is at-will in accordance with applicable law.
